Description: This mid-season variety produces dark green fruits with small white spines. Excellent taste. Cucumber is a vine that grows well on a trellis if you have limited space or you want a more upright fruit, but also grows well on the ground. Sow indoors at least 3 weeks before transplanting to the garden. Use "Jiffy" pots to reduce transplant shock. When sown directly in the garden the soil temperature should be around 16ºC and when there is no longer any danger of frost on the ground. SOIL: Cucumbers require light, well-drained soil. Put 5 to 6 seeds in mounds in full sun and spaced 1.5 to 3 m in all directions. Before transplanting, water the soil well. It is advisable to use a black mulch to protect the seeds and increase the soil temperature. Table cucumbers are harvested at 15-20 cm in length and pickles at 2.5-7 cm.
