Description: On the cultivation side, you can sow Sugar Snap peas early in the spring since its seeds germinate in cold, wet soils. Shortly after sowing, the stems emerge from the ground and rush to attack the trellises and nets which they quickly cover. Fruit production starts quickly and continues for a long time through the summer heat.
Use: It is added in pieces in salads, or in soups. Whole and steamed, they make a fresh and crunchy accompaniment to any dish. The 3 in (7.5 cm) long pods are stringless and keep their beautiful green color when cooked.
