Description: This European carrot, of the Nantes type, has a cylindrical root and vigorous foliage. A mid-early selection that stands out for its unique taste. Sow it in early May for an early harvest, in mid-June for a fall harvest and even in early July for tender young carrots at the end of the season. Spacing: Sow 6mm deep, in rows 40cm apart and thin to 5cm apart. Properly mound the soil around the plants to prevent sunburn and green discoloration at the collar. Soil: Carrots prefer fairly rich, deeply worked, rock-free soil with constant humidity. Maintaining humidity will promote the formation of beautiful roots. Cultivation method: It likes full sun or light shade. Avoid fresh manure and green manures which will promote leaf development to the detriment of roots. Root length can vary significantly under different environments and growing conditions. Harvesting: Pick the carrots once the size of the variety is reached and the color is orange. Pick small carrots when young otherwise they will continue to grow. Store in a cool environment.
