Description: Buckwheat oatmeal is an interesting, gluten-free alternative to conventional oatmeal. Buckwheat contains 8 essential amino acids including rutin.
Ingredient: 100% Canadian organic buckwheat.
Directions: Bring 1 1/2 cups (350 ml) of water to a boil. Pour in 1/3 cup (80 ml) of buckwheat groats. Reduce heat to low and stir. Simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until desired texture is reached. Serve with yogurt and jam or garnish with milk and fresh or dried fruit. Makes 2 servings.
