Description: Also known as organic black turtle beans, these beans retain their shape when cooked.
Instructions: Soak the black beans for approximately 8 hours (do not recover the soaking water, it is full of starch and that is what makes the beans indigestible). Bring to the boil and simmer for about 1½ hours or until the beans are tender, adding water as needed during cooking. Organic black beans keep for about 730 days.
