Description: This runner vine spaghetti squash is one of the most popular. It produces cylindrical fruits, with whitish yellow flesh having the appearance of spaghetti. It keeps for a long time in the fridge. Cultivation for the warm season, which requires temperatures of 18 to 27⁰ C. Sow indoors 3 to 4 weeks before the last spring frost or directly in the garden. Sow each seed 2.5 cm deep, in mounds 1.5 to 2 m apart. Thin out later, keeping the 2 or 3 best plants. It requires warm, fertile, well-drained soil and full sun exposure. Water heavily, to conserve moisture, incorporate organic matter into the soil and mulch after planting. In cooler regions, protect the young plants with cloches or tunnels. Types with running vines can be installed on solid supports. Harvest them when the flower has fallen from the end of the fruit.
